How to read results
- Toll cost for a car assumes standard class. Motorcycles pay ~50%. Vans pay 1.5鈥?脳.
- Free alternative = the parallel autov铆a (e.g. A-7, A-4). Usually 5鈥?0 km longer and adds 15鈥?0 minutes.
- When to take the toll: tight schedule, long-distance with kids, overnight, or peak holiday weekend.
- When to skip: tourist pace, scenic route preference, low fuel pressure, avoid Santiago AP-9 if going to Finisterre by motorcycle (the C-19 detour is gorgeous).
Limitations
- Real toll costs vary by exact entry/exit point and operator (Abertis, Cintra). The numbers shown are typical mid-corridor estimates for 2025/26.
- For longer trips, use the DGT traffic service to check closures before departure.
- For C-32 / C-33 around Barcelona 鈥?those are managed concession payments, not classic autopistas.
